     Setup and maintenance of all computer hardware and digital data systems for the office, which includes the following: web/mail/ftp servers running Linux; data repositories running Linux and Windows; an internal user network consisting of Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X machines as well as laser printers, scanners, copiers, and large format plotters; an automated secure backup system for critical data to off-site servers.

      Researched opportunities for growth in new/related areas in enterprise software. Specific technology spaces included: data replication/recovery, text search and automatic categorization systems, data portals, application integration, 802.11 (RF) pinpointing, BPM tools, XML databases and tools.

      Tested the capabilities of existing software solutions, recommended for or against an acquisition of technology based on performance.

     In areas where no present solution existed, quickly developed a prototype solution leveraging internal technologies as well as open source efforts for demonstration to other groups within the corporation, sometimes passing on the prototype to another group for further development.

      Designed and implemented a Web application for the MIT I-Campus Project VIEW.

      Set up a Redhat Linux server running Oracle 8i, AOL Server 3.0, and the ACS 3.4 release.
